"Last
night's cigarettes. . ." is a fourteen - track spoken word
project casting
reflections on life through the eyes of a working class émigré from
the coal-dust covered Scranton, Pennsylvania region.
Once
hailed as the Anthracite capital of the world, Scranton and its
neighboring communities are a stark example of tireless work ethic and
blue-collar pride.
As with
many areas built by coal and railroad, a strong back, calloused hands,
and a quick temper are often the measure of the man – and the quality
of a job is measured by its endurance; if not by its hourly wage.
